The program is available for boys from grades 1 - 8 currently living in West Hartford.  Grades 1 -2 are Instructional Level; Grades 3-4 are Bantam level; Grades 5-6 are the Junior level and Grades 7-8 are the Senior level.

US Lacrosse Trained Clinicians will offer the Boys Youth Lacrosse Officials Training Session in two different locations in Connecticut on Sunday afternoons on the following dates:
 
2/19/12 – South Windsor area–Session A – South Windsor Community Center, 150 Nevers Rd., South Windsor, CT 06074
REGISTRATION DEADLINE – 2/13/12 – Time 2PM to 7PM (please note the time change for this session)
 
2/26/12 – Waterbury area – Chase Collegiate School, 565 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT
REGISTRATION DEADLINE – 2/21/12 – Time 1PM to 6PM
 
3/4/12 South Windsor area–Session B – South Windsor Community Center, 150 Nevers Rd., South Windsor, CT 06074
REGISTRATION DEADLINE – 2/27/12 – Time 1PM to 6PM
 
You must be a high school student or older in order to attend any of the sessions.  You need to complete one of the three Training Sessions in order to referee Boys Youth Lacrosse for the 2012 season.
 
Please register for one of the Training Sessions www.ctlacrosse.org by the Registration Deadline to insure that we have sufficient training materials for each attendee.
 
PLEASE NOTE THAT EACH SESSION IS LIMITED TO 65 PEOPLE
 
For the Training Session, each attendee must bring the following:

• $50 (includes the rule book and training materials) – cash or check payable to CLOA.
• US Lacrosse membership card or an email confirmation from US Lacrosse for their membership.

 
 
Please note that all returning Boys Youth Lacrosse Officials must also complete one of the three Training Sessions in order to referee Boys Youth Lacrosse games for the 2012 season.

Happy Thanksgiving from the WHYLL!  With this 60 degree weather it is the perfect time to think about the spring lacrosse season.  Use Cyber Monday to register your son now that registration is open.  Register before 1/1 and save $25.  After 1/1 the registration fee increases to $135.  Even if you plan to pay by check, please register trough the web site to reserve your spot.  We do expect all the divisions to fill up this year so sign up early.  Over the past several years we have expanded the # of teams in each division and the roster sizes.  We expect to field 5 teams at the Bantam, Jr, and Sr level.  With our main goal being to develop players on all teams at all levels we need to keep our roster sizes at manageable levels for the maximum benefit of the players and coaches.  We anticipate each of the divisions filling up based on last years interest level.   Once the divisions are full we will close registration.  Also, in 2012 due to new rules within the Ct Valley Youth Lacrosse League we will field 2 teams at the A level in the Junior (5/6) and Senior (7/8) divisions.  More details in the spring on the structure, but we will have 2:A teams and 3: B for the Juniors and the Seniors.  The Bantams (3/4) will remain evenly divided based on the # of teams we field.  Please have a happy and healthy holiday season.

The schedule of league coaches meetings through January are outlined below.  These meetings are open for anyone to attend.  All meetings are at 7PM at the Elmwood Community Center.  Check the board on the way in for the exact meeting room location.

Have your kids moved on to high school?  Or are they just growing so fast they outgrow equipment every year?  Please consider donating your used lacrosse equipment to the West Hartford Youth Lacrosse League.  Each year the league provides, helmets, defensive sticks, and goalie equipment to all players.  We will also provide other equipment as needed to players.  The more equipment we have, the more we are able to provide for the younger, newer players to this great game.  Sticks, gloves, elbow / shoulder pads, old goals or bounce back devices, and helmets are all accepted.  If you have equipment you would like to donate or have any questions, please contact us at .
