WHYLL MISSION STATEMENT
WEST HARTFORD YOUTH LACROSSE (WHYLL)
West Hartford Youth Lacrosse (WHYLL) was established in 1975 to promote the sport of lacrosse among youth residing in West Hartford through programs open to all interested participants, by teaching fundamentals of the game, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork and respect.
Thus, the following goals and policies are adopted:
WHYLL will:
1. Promote skill development, sportsmanship, team play and love of the sport.
2. Create and maintain age-based programs focused on teaching fundamental skills and introducing low-key competition with similar programs in nearby towns.
3. Provide equal attention and support to all participants
4. Provide access to safe, well maintained fields with access to appropriate equipment and uniforms.
5. Provide opportunities for more competitive play in “A” level try-out teams where playing time will be based on Attitude, Aptitude and Attendance.
